Our Interview Process

We want to identify the best talent for our business and at all stages we aim to make the job application and interview process simple and straightforward.  The information below will provide you with a guide to our interview process and what to expect.

1. Online Application

Our job advertisements are placed on a variety of job boards and after your application is lodged, it will be viewed by a member of the HR/internal recruitment team.

2. Telephone Interviews

If you meet the initial job criteria, you may be contacted for a telephone interview and we will confirm your interest in the role and establish your experience and understanding of the role.

3. Face to Face Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a face to face interview with the hiring manager. Depending on the depth of the role, you will be required to have a second interview with another hiring manager to get a deeper understanding of your technical expertise in the role and the company fit.

4. Post Interview Feedback

You will be contacted by phone or email by the recruitment consultant to obtain and provide feedback on your interview.

5. Reference Checks

All employees will be required to submit evidence of full working rights in Australia and reference checks will be conducted for all roles. You will be required to provide us with two recent, contactable and acceptable referees that we shall contact to confirm your background and experience.

6. Background Checks

All employees undergo a standard criminal record checks as part of our background checks process and pre-employment medicals form part of our hiring process for safety sensitive roles.

7. The Offer

If your application is successful, we shall contact you with an offer of employment, which if you accept shall be followed by an employment contract that you will sign and return to us.

8. Managing your information

Whether you apply for a vacancy or register your profile to be considered for future vacancies, you will be providing Nutrien Ag Solutions with confidential information about yourself. We are committed to managing your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and you will have access to view, edit, update or even remove your profile.

By maintaining an up-to-date record on our database, you can choose to be kept informed of vacancies that are relevant to your preferences and skills.

9. Residency, citizenship and visa requirements

Applicants must fulfil local residency, citizenship or visa requirements to live and work in Australia.

If you are successful in obtaining a role with us, you will be required to submit evidence of your working rights along with other tax declaration, superannuation and banking details for payroll purposes.
